Christopher Koch & Associates – Lawyer in La Palma, CA

This law firm has by far the worst group of lawyers I've ever met. First of all, Christopher Koch was never on time, not once, to any of the court appointments. Then, he would go into the courtroom and come out with with a sad expression acting like he did everything he could for the best verdict. HOW ABOUT YOU TRY BEING ON TIME? He even tried to push back the court appointment one time because he was running late, but still managed to be late. And to make things worse, he didn't even have time to put on his belt. His actions only lead me to think that his own life is not in order. This lawyer does not have his priorities in order and is the most unprofessional lawyer I have ever met. I understand that lawyers are busy people and have to balance many cases, but what I don't understand is why he accepted the case if he was too busy for it. It only makes me think that he did it for the money. In addition, I got the feeling that our prosecutors did not have a good impression of Attorney Koch. He even changed the judge in hopes for a better verdict, but again, no one seemed to be fond of him. Whenever he sent an associate attorney, they would beat around the bush and give me the "lawyer talk" by telling me general information about the case, but without any solidifying information on what was going on. Christopher Koch & his associates are exceptionally terrible at keeping their clients updated and prepared for upcoming court appointments. Christopher Koch's attorney services may be low, but you will honestly get what you pay for: a low-level, unprofessional "attorney". If yelp allowed an option for 0 stars, I would gladly change their rating without hesitation.DO NOT USE THIS LAWYER'S SERVICES. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.Note: I don't ever write reviews unless a service is unbelievably bad.

The Ticket Clinic – Lawyer in La Palma, CA

Well… If I had checked Yelp before I decided to pay for this service, I can safely say I wouldn't have bought it, but I'm glad I didn't.I have 0 prior tickets and a spotless driving record. I was having a bad day and decided to take my S4 for a spin at 2 in the morning. All said and done, I was ticketed for 110 in a 65 and sent on my way(Which honestly was a huge break, the cop could have easily impounded my car and took me to jail).I decided to hire the Ticket Clinic and was $500 in the hole, but facing the charges, I figured it a worthwhile investment. I was apprehensive at first because they said they were going to delay the trial as much as possible to allow as much time as possible to go by before court, which is fine. The date of my offense was 12/21/2011, and ultimately my actual trial date was postponed until 10/5/2012. I did not hear back from them on 10/5, so I left a few messages and finally got through yesterday(10/12/2012) and they were pleased to inform me that my charges were dismissed. While I am very, VERY pleased with the service I received and if the need came I would gladly use the Ticket Clinic again(Contrary to the 2 stars on Yelp). I agree that they could use a little more communication.I feel that the negative reviews are largely based on the following.1) Your case depends solely on the judge you get, the attorney can only do so much.2) If you have a terrible driving record, a judge won't give a flying crap about your attorney3) Your cash investment is exactly that, an INVESTMENT that this company will be able to get your case dismissed, and in the dispositions they clearly state that THERE IS NO GUARANTEE.Also, you should realize that a traffic judge will interact and behave with an attorney very differently than a normal person. A judge can very easily dick around with a normal person, where as an attorney just needs to find one error on the ticket, or one discrepancy between the police report and the ticket, and he can get the case tossed.tl;dr1) Hired ticket clinic for 110 in a 652) Paid $5003) Ticket clinic got my case dismissed4) I am a happy panda.
