Potter Joshua W Atty – Lawyer in Monrovia, CA

My husband went there for a consultation. This was the first time seeing an attorney, unfortunately, It was basically a waste of time. He didn't go there to be insulted and treated like an idiot. This is all new to him, which is something we understand, but he didn't needed to go through that. There's something about people being so smart, that they're more stupid and out of touch. He was one of those types. He told me that he left feeling like crap and worthless.

Kearney Gary W Atty – Lawyer in Monrovia, CA

If you've got a HUGE case that can make Gary Kearney A LOT of money, and pad his hours, then he's probably your guy. However, if you're a regular person struggling to collect back alimony KEEP MOVING.In our first meeting Mr. Kearney had me bring in all my records, he indicated it was a small case, (roughly $50,000 owed) and would take about a month to 6 weeks to settle. I indicated speed and controlling cost was of the essence.I should have walked away then, instead I paid him the $2500 retainer.Despite reaching out over the course of the next 3 months; trying to follow up on the status of my case, little to nothing occurred. Mostly, I was told by his secretary he was on a big case and would get back to me when he could…no idea when that would be.Ultimately, the Marshall finally seized my ex's bank account..(I learned this not from my lawyer, but from my daughter). When I called Kearney Baker to ask why I hadn't been informed they couldn't give me an answer. Yet the fees kept mounting.Over the course of several weeks it also came to my attention that my emails to the office weren't going through… it turned out their firewall was bouncing them back. When my ex died suddenly I sent Mr Kearney a total of two emails asking him for the status of my case. These were boilerplate questions for which I was bill $495.When I wrote to tell him how unhappy I was with the handling of the case he didn't deem it worthy of his time to respond. What a great advocate.Due to the length of the process, I ended up receiving about $12,500 and it cost me almost $5,000.THIS MAN IS WHAT MAKES PEOPLE THINK LAWYERS ARE MONEY GRUBBERS.

Mark J Warfel Law Offices – Lawyer in Monrovia, CA

Horrible experience. There is absolutely ZERO communication about your case, my case got tossed between all 3 lawyers at this practice. It took MONTHS for them to get my wage garnishment processed and then after they dropped my case they sent me emails claiming that I hadn't paid my attorney's fees (which thankfully I have the receipt for). They rarely answered the phone, wouldn't return messages or calls, wouldn't return emails and it got to the point where I had to show up in their office whenever I had questions or needed information. Mark will tell you what you want to hear to get you out of the office and doesn't follow through, then drops your case without notice.

The Law Offices of Larry H Parker – Lawyer in Monrovia, CA

Stay far away from these crooks. There really should be a news investigation into them as they are very unethical. They do little to help you and then refer you to one of their crooked affiliates to deal with you. In my case I signed a retainer and was relying on them. They instead lied to me on the phone and tossed my case to Sedin Begakis and Bish, a firm in Newhall, that they claimed was in Glendale. I never signed a substitute of attorney for Mindy Bish and Tammy Sedin of that firm. Yet Larry H. Parker, despite them being my lawyers on record, refused to help me. I finally ended up with a new lawyer in Pasadena, a great one too, who had to share his pay with these crooks. They are so unethical, just don't go there.

Law Office of Ernest Gonzales – Lawyer in Monrovia, CA

Called this attorney because I noticed he had 3 reviews all 5 star seemed okay plus he is by my work he, first off he answered his phone hello so I wasn't sure if I was calling a business or a residence he then let me know who he was and immediately became really aggressive telling me he would give me a free consultation but I had to answer his questions and not talk so I rolled with it for about a minute or two then it got really annoying because there were certain questions that I wanted to elaborate on but he kept cutting me short and saying to just answer the questions and how greatful I should be that he is even talking to me because he usually charges 5000 or a case like this as soon as I heard that I figured there was no point in continuing in taking a beating from this guy so I said I can't afford 5000 dollars and I had already spoken to another lawyer go agreed to help get me started for 1500 and then I could pay in payments on an hour rate as needed he said that's great you should go with them that's a great deal so I guess in conclusion if you want an expensive lawyer who won't work with you and talk down to you and play a stupid game of 21 questions this is your man I didn't even continue my search called Schank Family law and they were more than happy to take my 1500 to help get me started and made me feel like if I had hope in the fight to get things resolved with visitation rights over my daughter
