I've been usingStamps.comfor 16 months for my ecommerce business and will now move to Endicia. When it works, it works fine, no complaints. However, I encounter frequent software problems and spend way to much of my valuable time on the phone with their tech support team (who gets high marks btw). Here are my key issues:1) When they have a system wide problem, they don't send a blast email notifying customers of the issue, estimated time to fixing it, etc. So you have to go through the whole tech support process (hold times, acct verification, etc) only to find out that they are already aware of the issue. That wastes your time as well theirs as it ties up their tech support people unnecessarily.2) They issued a new software upgrade in mid February relating to the new postal rates. However it has a huge glitch, the shipping confirmation (email) doesn't work. So that means you have to manually send out emails to all the orders you shipped letting them know it shipped and providing the tracking numbers. A huge time sink and headache. Its been ten days now, and I'm told by tech support that if enough people call in to complain it will get fixed faster. I can't wait any longer – I can sign up with Endicia faster than I can manually send out emails for one days worth of orders.3) Not a huge issue but….the "on hold" music (which I've spent way to much time listening to) is full of static. Like a radio dial that's just off the mark….after 35 minutes holding last week I almost had to poke my eyes out with a ball point pen….I'm pretty patient and forgiving but the collective lost time from all of these issues is too much to bear.

Do you want to meet the worst lawyer ever on the face of this earth? If you answered yes, then this is the place to go! Most unprofessional, disrespectful, and uneducated lawyer I have ever came across. He is not worth my time to sit and write my horrible experience detail by detail but you will be doing yourself a favor by GOING SOMEWHERE ELSE! He is filled with lies, and is never available to speak to if you have a open case with him. You can call him at anytime, and he always magically is out of the office but I guarantee you he is sitting in his office and ripping other people off. AVOID THIS SCAM

Marc was my accountant for three fiscal years. Each year, my wife said we should get someone else. Each year, I defferred–"He's not that bad, and we've got an existing relationship!" I'd say.The problem with Marc is he's quick to take your upfront fees, but then responsiveness and coherent answers to questions are in short supply afterward. This year, I gave all my documents, paid his fee, and waited. And waited. And emailed for a status update. And waited. And waited. And finally got an email with the completed return. I sent back the return to be filed on his end, and… waited. And waited. And emailed. And waited five days before a reply came. Then I emailed back saying "Hey, you're running a real gongshow there, hey?" And Marc replied with a disengagement letter, instead of speaking like a reasonable adult.Pretty unprofessional. Take your business elsewhere.

Stevens & McMillan – Lawyer in Portland, OR

I called this law firm for assistance with a wage claim.I live in Oregon but worked for a restaurant in California last November. The restaurant never paid me or had me fill out a W4, even when I went in to do so after I quit. Obviously I file a wage claim with the department of labor, but since there are lawyers who specialize in employment I figured it couldn't hurt to talk to a professional. After all I may be faced with the expense of traveling to Ca for mediation or court…I called Stevens and McMillan and was transferred to their paralegal. I told her I had questions about a wage claim that I will be filing. Her immediate response was "Well an attorney can cost thousands and thousands of dollars, so you should just go through the department of labor". I told her I planned on doing that, then explained a bit of the story: how I had never been paid etc. She emphasized again that I file a claim with the department of labor. Again I said yes I plan on doing that but should I have some sort of legal representation. Her final response was "It's probably going to take a really long time, but it will take a long time with an attorney too."So basically you don't want my business, I get that. But don't assume I don't have "thousands and thousands of dollars" based off of the fact that I'm filing a wage claim. Nobody in America thinks lawyers are cheap. Nobody wants to call a lawyer. Yet somehow they're all still in business.Maybe this firm can help you if you have a claim where they can make more money than average, such as sexual harassment case. But if you're in a situation where an employer has not paid you, I would not recommend calling this firm. They don't even want to talk to you about it.
