These people are ridiculous. I was referred to Mark (one of the owners by a friend. Now I dont have as much money as this friend and am not all buddy buddy wtih him and it was obvious in the way I was treated.I was a client with them for two years and when I called to do my taxes one year they said I wasn't in the system and that I would be put on a waiting list to get any help. So I went elsewhere. But we weren't done.I had started receiving text message marketing a few months later and after a while finally got them to stop. I told them why I didn't want to hear from them and about how frustrated I was about the situation. They said sorry but didn't seem to remotely care about it and never did anything to rectify. I just got a "sorry" from one of their not very helpfully receptionists.About a year later I get a phone call from them so I called back right away after just missing it and the girl asked around for who called me and said that she had no idea and to check if I had a voicemail and hung up on me. No goodbye no nothing. I did end up with a voicemail on them marketing to me for a consultation to help me with my s corp. So I called back and now that I was calling back about an offer they knew who I was and when I told the girl about the history with them, half way through she tried to abruptly stop me and tell me her side of the story as opposed to just hearing me out and seemed to be frustrated with me. WITH ME! the call simple ended with her pretty much being like sorry well make sure to take you off the list. It wasn't until this that I decided to put this review up here. They don't not care about the people they care about money. Its $300 an hour just to talk to Mark and I once had to call him back for 5 minutes and they billed me for those 5 minutes. If you don't have a lot of money I wouldn't even bother. Even if you do, know that they don't care about you, they care about your money and how much they can make off of you. If you utilize their company, almost every time you call them you will deal with someone new. Zero personal feeling with these guys. I am appalled at the way they do business but hey, they're lawyers, would you expect anything different.

I don't know if the lawyer is good or not, but you will need a better receptionist. I call today Saturday, and I don't know if I was talking to the personal number or office, but the women at the phone look like she have not idea about how to manage costume service, it just seeing that is not to professional or careless to the business.

I just wanted to share that I hired these guys to represent me for a stop sign violation in Hollywood, and the ticket WAS NOT dismissed. The fees weren't reduced at all. Plus I ended up paying the fee for representation, so all in all, I paid about $150 more than I would have otherwise.I knew what I was getting into, as this firm's emails made it very clear that there was a possibility that my ticket wouldn't be dismissed, the reason being in my case that the cop showed up in court. Just know that if the cop does show to defend himself and his decision to ticket you, your ticket won't be dismissed. As for the law firm itself, I only spoke with a representative once, on the phone, in order to make my payment to them. I spoke with a woman who was pretty friendly, but she was also quite pushy to make her sale. The rest of the firm's communication with me has been extremely impersonal, only via email. If you want to go this route and attempt to get your ticket dismissed, I'd go with another firm.

Polite, but not sure about his knowledge.I have an abandoned mobile home on my land, not fixed to the ground. I consult with him about how to get the title to mine. His first answer is adverse possession. My understanding is that in California, adverse possession only applies to real property or land, NOT personal property. So this answer is not applicable. I ask for other options, not sure get any clear answer.

Carlos Batara – Lawyer in San Diego, CA

He took our first payment and didn't do much with it. In the span of 12 months, we paid 1500 to apply for citizenship for my spouse, and through the entire process we would call for updates, but never get thru. The only way we could keep contact is by making the 2 hour drive to his office, because they don't pick up the phone. All we got were some records of my spouse's parents immigration papers and nothing else. Meanwhile, my spouse's brother applied for the same exact thing with another lawyer at the same time and he's getting his papers this week. 0/10, we will never get that $$ back, and I will be calling my brother in law's lawyer today. if you want quick and immediate action with immigration issues, don't get with carlos batara.
