CheapTrafficAttorneys – Lawyer in Santa Monica, CA

Well, I knew I had a difficult case as there was radar evidence and it was a CHP stop–they don't *uck around. Still, I thought it would be worth a try. I contacted the office before my ticket was even in the system and sat back and waited. They do charge an extra $70 for tickets out of the Long Beach courthouse. Anyway, the cop showed and the attorney was able to negotiate my fee down $100 but it included a "late fee". I hadn't been late with anything. I had not bothered his office at all during the entire process, but did write a brief email to ask why I'd been assessed a $30 fee. No one ever responded and it wasn't explained in the email they sent me. I thought it was a pretty simple and reasonable question that deserved a response.

The Ticket Clinic – Lawyer in Santa Monica, CA

First time using ticket clinic. I got a speeding ticket in march and received little communication and routinely called in to find out status and that my case was pushed out until October. I had attorney Eric Partovi represent me on the actual day of the hearing, after checking him out he's ~1 year staff. The night of the hearing, I receive a PDF file stating that they pleaded "no contest" and that I would have to pay the full fine and attend traffic school. This is my first speeding ticket in 20 years and I got a newb attorney who didn't do anything more than I could do in court. $200 down the drain. The lawyer I received isn't even on the PDF as a listed attorney. I definitely feel like I got shafted. I still have to do traffic school, still have to pay the fine, I just added an extra $200 and months of wasted worry time.Take your chances.

The Ticket Clinic – Lawyer in Santa Monica, CA

I hold a CDL, so my license is my life. At the time, any additional points would of had me out of a job. So in a crunch, I called the ticket clinic to go to court for me at the last minute. Originally, I just needed them for that, however, I said screw it, let them do their thang. I paid $200 for them to show up the following day. They ended up getting my ticket dismissed with no additional points on my record. However, my ticket was over a year old and it could be possible the officer did not show up. Three stars because I don't know how my ticket was dismissed.

I signed up for Yelp today specifically to warn other about using this service. I have never complained about anything on the internet, but want to do a service to other consumers- please avoid this business!!!!The lost my cut and dry case and had to take the ticket back to court a second time because they didn't record my details correctly the first time! John was impossible to reach and would never answer the phone and would rarely respond to emails. Save your time, energy and money and find anyone but them to help you.

Law Office of Vincent Y Lin – Lawyer in Santa Monica, CA

I agree with the other post. This is an awful attorney. He is shady, shady, shady! Stay away!!!! They do not know what they are doing and will just waste your money and accomplish nothing. And he will tell you one thing, but never follow up or come through on his word. HIS PROMISES ARE WORTHLESS!!!!!His staff are just as incompetent. I don't know if the female attorney is kept out of the loop on things or is just dumb, but I could do better than she in court. I guess it's my own fault for going to a lawyer who seems to know more about intellectual property for a civil issue. I feel the judge was biased against us, too, but because Mr. Lin or his other associates could not get their point across clearly.JUST STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot emphasize that more!

Bisnar Chase Personal Injury Attorneys – Lawyer in Santa Monica, CA

I've been waiting a long time to tell my story about the nightmare that I experienced having hired this law firm. It's times like this that I really appreciate YELP and that fact us "little people" as Bisnar might call us, have a voice and a space to be heard. My story begins: I was almost killed by a drunk driver about two years ago and hired Bisnar and Chase to represent me. All was fine and dandy– they come to your house, have you sign a bunch of paperwork to sign your life away to them in exchange for a promise. That promise was to represent and protect to the best of their ability. Littledid I know that that concept only applied to people whose cases were worth a lot of money. When they sign you up, they don't know what your case is worth. Once they find out, hold on to your hats. No insurance money = lawyers who don't care about you.Back to the driver: The drunk driver had run a red light going 65 miles an hour and hit right where I was sitting. I knocked 6 teeth loose, punctured a cyst in my ovary, knocked my head off my neck roller, my cheek bone ended up in my eye, my back.. I won't even get into that. I was unable to sit in chairs of 6 months after the accident, wasn't able to drive. I was in physical therapy for almost a year, 3 days a week. It was horrible. The only reason why I even share this with you is you understand the level of my injuries.I come from a humble upbringing, I own my own business and the accident cost over 60,000. My savings.. gone. My ability to work.. very difficult. When Bisnar found out that the driver only had a 15/30 policy, they stopped returning my calls. This was only about 2 months after the accident by the way. What they didn't realize was that there was another passenger in the car with me whose team got everything they needed way before Bisnar did so I know that the things they were telling me were untrue. I found myself having to manage my lawyers as if recovery and keeping my business open wasn't already enough to worry about. After unreturned calls, weeks turning into months, months turning into a year, and no idea when financial relief was coming, I started calling friends who were lawyers, getting second options, and questioning Bisnar on the way they were handling my case. They made me drive to Newport (which is far for me and I couldn't drive myself) in order to speak with them. Then they told me to stop treatment, that I wasn't going to get any money and basically left me in tears the two times I saw them. I can honestly say that working with these lawyers was worse than the accident itself. The emotional stress that they caused me due to their indifference made me suffer.I found out that they never ran background checks before advising me to sign away my rights for 15,000 (1/3 of which they kept). They also never told me that victims were entitled to a restitution hearing in a criminal court. When I asked them why they never mentioned that to me, they said they were my civil lawyers and it wasn't their responsibility to inform me of it. Really?? On top of all of this, they also charged me a "monthly file fee" on top of the 1/3 they received which turned into 800.00 which is a lot. No other law firm I spoke to charges this fee.The lesson here? Life is too short. You think hiring a big law firm is going to protect you, give you a better shot of making a bad situation better. When you sign those papers.. you feel relief. Help is on the way. But instead, you get lost in a shuffle where no one feels that communicating with you is a priority. When you are victim of circumstance, the last thing you need is for your lawyers to make you feel like more of a victim, in the dark, with no idea what is going to happen to you. None of this matters to them. How you feel, what your needs are, returning your calls. Instead, they move you from person to person. Sadly, THEY JUST DON'T CARE. Their time is far more valuable than yours. And they let you know it.
