Bergener Mirejovsky – Lawyer in Santa Rosa, CA

After spending a significant amount of time researching this law firm, I contacted them regarding a Personal Injury claim. Several of my initial questions were answered pleasantly, as I was told over and over again that they were "all about customer service". I agreed to meet with an intake specialist at my home to review the contracts to hire them to take my case. Upon filling out the contracts, I had what I considered a minor question, which the gentleman sitting across from me was unable to answer, so we contacted the attorney that handled my initial call. I wanted to know why the paperwork related to their access to my medical records had no expiration date, and this attorney first told me that "I just had to trust them" and then proceeded to berate me, yell at me, and belittle my question, until I was literally in tears. He called back a few moments later to apologize, and was genuinely perplexed as to why I would not want to let total strangers have full permission to any and all of my medical records until the end of time. I was so shocked by the way the situation was handled, I asked the intake specialist to please hold the paperwork overnight, as I was not sure I wanted to hire these people. The next day, when I called to rescind my paperwork, I was told that this same attorney was insisting the paperwork be sent to him, regardless of whether I gave my consent. He then called me personally to let me know I had no choice in the matter, but that they would send me a subsequent letter stating they were not working with me. Never in my life have I been spoken to and treated so poorly, particularly by a firm that is ostensibly "all about customer service".

Stamps.Com – Lawyer in Santa Rosa, CA

If you've ever considered usingStamps.com, don't. Let me repeat that:Stamps.comis totally deceitful. I signed up thinking it was free, and that the reason I had to add my credit card information to the account was to purchase future postage (they give you a $5.00 postage credit upon joining). Turns out that they charge you $16.99/month, which I really never read anywhere on the website. When you call to cancel/complain, there is only automated responses, and then they inform you you'll be billed for however long you are into the new month. I'm extremely unhappy, and feel deceived.

Parker Stanbury LLP – Lawyer in Santa Rosa, CA

The only thing I like about this company is the nice guy who sold me on it. The company in itself is not worth the product represented. This is a prepaid legal service for which once you work with them, you start to understand what most others do, they are not real lawyers. Don't get me wrong, these folks have passed their exams, however, because they lack social skills, legal skills, or what ever the reason, these lawyers are a part of this organization. The idea is great, but I have actually tried to use their service a few times, as a small business owner, there are many needs for a lawyer from business contracts, to employment contracts, to expansion, to defense. I thought that they would be good with contracts, and I didn't really get a real sense that anyone ever looked at my contracts when I sent them over, just one time I actually spoke with a person about contracts and then I think he forgot about me. I had to go through with the contract anyway so I didn't wait for the legal shield guy to call me back. Then there was a need for expansion and the person I spoke with said that this case needed more than just the phone time and I would have to pay him hourly, but with a discount. I shopped around and realized that other lawyers were starting at a much lower price point, lower than the Parker Stanbury discounted price. Then there was a breach of contract need for them and again, the same issue. The only thing they are good for is scaring away people who are not familiar with the Parker Stanbury name. For those of us who know, we understand that threats are all they are good for and that if the person who may threaten us wants to take it further, they would have to pay the high prices for low quality lawyers. Its too bad that the lawyers, I had spoken to about 8 so this review is not based on one person, jack up their prices so much and prevent you from using their services or this idea may work, but ethics is highly lacking in most of them.
